ARBO Reads: Reading as Community Building

At Atelier ARBO, our design work has always revolved around the human experiences — how people interact with spaces, light, and each other. ARBO Reads grows from that same soil of thought, but with books as the material.

We see reading as an act of connection — not only between reader and writer but also between people who share a physical space of stories. Books can open conversations that architecture sometimes can’t: about sustainability, empathy, childhood, design, and the everyday poetry of life.

We see reading as an act of connection — not only between reader and writer but also between people who share a physical space of stories. Books can open conversations that architecture sometimes can’t: about sustainability, empathy, childhood, design, and the everyday poetry of life.

Our dream is to seed small ARBO Reads libraries in different neighborhoods — each shaped by the community that surrounds it. Some may hold children’s books and story times while others may feature design journals, travel diaries, or donated novels that have been read and loved many times.

Each micro library will have its own character — built thoughtfully designed to weather time and touch. If by any chance you like our though and would like to join hands in any way do let us know. Also if you have some books to donate or some suggestions, then do write to us at architecture.arbo1@gmail.com
